This page describes how this Reverie application handles your information.
What is stored
An account stores your name, email, a password hash, and a hashed recovery code. Saved journal entries contain your dream text, selected emotion, optional context, reflection, dates, favorites, feedback, and notes. Session records keep you signed in. Passwords and recovery codes are not stored as readable text.
Guest and unsaved reflections
Guest sessions last up to 24 hours. Unsaved reflections are eligible for deletion after 24 hours; cleanup runs when the service receives requests. After you sign in or create an account in the same session, your temporary reflections become available to save. Saving is a separate action.
AI processing
The form tells you which mode is active. Guided mode processes your input on this service using a symbol library and does not call an external AI provider. In AI mode, your dream text, selected emotion, and optional context are sent to OpenAI to create a reflection. Your account email and name are not included in that request. The integration requests that the response not be stored as application state; this is not a promise of zero provider retention. Provider processing and retention depend on the operator’s account settings and the provider’s policies.
Access and security
Your journal is not public and is not included in search indexes. The application checks record ownership before returning or changing an entry. It uses a necessary, HTTP-only session cookie. Data is stored in the service’s database; this is not end-to-end encryption, and an authorized server operator can access database records. Use HTTPS for any hosted installation.
Operational records
The service keeps limited request status and quota records for up to seven days, and short-lived rate-limit counters. It does not intentionally log dream text or passwords. Hosting infrastructure may produce its own operational logs. There are no advertising trackers in the application.
Payments, when available
Stripe handles checkout and billing. The application stores provider customer and subscription identifiers and the current plan. Payment-card details are entered with Stripe rather than stored in your dream journal.
Export and deletion
Export your data from Account. Deleting a dream removes it from the active database. Deleting an account removes the account, sessions, journal entries, and linked request records, and attempts to cancel an active subscription first. Backups maintained by the operator may retain older copies until their configured expiry; the application cannot erase copies you have already exported. Payment providers may retain transaction records under their own policies.
Account recovery
Save the recovery code shown when you register. This installation does not send password-reset emails. Resetting your password requires both your email and recovery code. A successful reset replaces the recovery code and invalidates existing sessions.
Who this is for
Reverie is intended for adults aged 18 and older. Avoid including sensitive details about other people that are not needed for your reflection.
